Our Wedding

We go way back—Kindergarten at The Lovett School in 2001. For the next five years, we shared the same homeroom and kept a crush on one another.Eddie still has the gift Anna gave him in 4th grade: a football signed by UVA quarterback Matt Schaub. Having grown up next door to Matt's parents, Anna was thrilled to surprise Eddie with the autograph.Through middle school, high school, and college—Anna at UGA and Eddie at UVA—our paths drifted apart. After graduating in 2018, Anna moved to New York City to work on The Dr. Oz Show, while Eddie drove to Victor, Idaho to work outdoors for World Cast Anglers before beginning his career in Atlanta the following year.When COVID hit, Anna left the city to head home, and Eddie took the liberty of a $60 Delta flight back out west—with just three passengers onboard. By the fall of 2020, we had both officially returned to Atlanta. Straight from the airport and convinced by his friends to go out, Eddie ended up at Irby’s Tavern—where we ran into each other for the first time in years. It felt like no time had passed.To our surprise, we crossed paths again the next day at a party at Eddie’s house, and a week later we went on our first date.One of our earliest trips together was to Highlands, North Carolina—and four years later, in September 2024, we got engaged on the lawn at Half Mile Farm. We’ve spent a lot of time in Western North Carolina over the past several years, and it’s become a very special place for us.We’re so excited for all our favorite people to join us in Highlands to celebrate our wedding!

Brookings Anglers- Cashiers

Two popular hikes are Dry falls and Whiteside Mountain! Dry Falls in Highlands, NC is a 75-foot waterfall where you can walk safely behind the cascade and stay mostly dry. It is a quick 15-20 minute walk to get to and is easily accessible! Whiteside trail is a 2-mile loop that goes around the back or north side of the mountain and then along the ridge. The total climb is approximately 500 ft. The trail can be walked in&nbsp;about hour&nbsp;but you will want to allow plenty of time to take in the vistas. The High Dive is a casual, low-key bar and eatery known for it's fun games like darts, corn hole, and pool tables along side a wide selection of food and drinks and a lively atmosphere.

The Ugly Dog is a Highlands staple. It is a classic tavern with a live music lineup, a menu of burgers &amp; pub food, plus Sunday brunch!

Julep Farms is a modern farm resort nestled on 22 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Dillard, Georgia. It features a market with locally grown goods, a coffee bar, and the Julep Kitchen, which serves New American cuisine with a Southern twist. You will likely catch some farm animals as well! It is about 20 minutes down the mountain on the Georgia side and worth dropping in if you can!
